Arnside Knott

| Arnside Knott is a limestone hill on the edge of Arnside that rises to 159 metres above sea leve (522ft). Now owned by the National Trust, the area is home to a wide variety of wild flowers and butterflies, and offers fine views over Morecambe Bay and the surrounding countryside. Also nearby is Fairy Steps, a narrow walkway through a large exposure of limestone, and some good examples of limestone pavement. The area is quite heavily wooded and offers plenty of interesting walking opportunities. |
