| Blackwell, built in 1900, is one of Britain’s most important houses, positioned in a dramatic Lakeland setting overlooking Lake Windermere. It is a rare example of the Arts and Crafts Movement with wonderfully rich interiors that have survived almost entirely intact. Visitors can now enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this recently restored house. Changing exhibitions of the best contemporary and historic applied arts and crafts are displayed in the upstairs galleries. |
