Crinkle Crags and Red Tarn
Near Three Shires Stone, Cumbria - England, UK
|
| Crinkle Crags is as fun a mountain as its name suggests, consisting of a serrated ridge of little peaks and valleys that undulates for over a mile. The path along the ridge is a delight, with new vistas and delights opening up around every bend. Crinkle Crags is easily climbed via Red Tarn from Three Shires Stone, the boundary marker at the head of the Wrynose Pass (not for faint-hearted drivers!) which once indicated the point where the three counties of Westmorland, Cumberland and Lancashire met. |
