| Elva Plain is a small stone circle on the southern slope of Elva Hill near Cockermouth in Cumbria. It’s located in the middle of a field and isn’t easy to find. The 15 stones that make up the circle are small and largely concealed by the grass so make a note of the grid reference (NY177317) to ensure you don’t miss it! The circle is on private land belonging to Elva Farm, but there is a nearby footpath. The site is thought to date from Neolithic times. |
